Part 21 Report Colt Industries-Fairbanks Horse Engine Division Emergency Diesel Generators Possible Exhaust Rocker Arm Defect Written Report Dated September 26, 1978 Further Infomation-Duquesne Light Co., Beaver Valley Unit 2 Gentlemen:
We have completed our inspection of the exhaust rocker arms of the two PC-2 generator sets for _ Beaver Valley Unit 2, which have been in storage at our Beloit, Wisconsin plant.
All exhaust rocker arms were removed from the engines and non-destructively examined. Those with stress risers exceeding current criteria were reworked to within the acceptance criteria or replaced.
The units are free of the reported potential defect.
