Finley of this
office en November 15-17, 197e, of activities at the "ichigan State
University pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part
70, "Special Nuclear Material." Discussion of findings were pre -
sented to Mr. John W.
Hoffman and Dr. Bruce Wilkinson of your staff
at the conclusica of the inspection on :;ovember 17, 1978-
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas
examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the
inspecticn consisted of a selective examination of procedures
and representative records, observations, and interviews with
personnel.
50 items of noncompliance with SRC requirements were identified
during the course of this inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection concern a subject matter
which is except frca disclosure according te Section 2.790 of
the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Ccde of Federal
Regulations. Consequently, our report of this inspection will
not be placed in the Public Document Race.
