On January 8,1979, a report was made under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) concerning High Head Safety Injection Pumps.
In accordance with the reporting requirements of 10CFR21, the following information is submitted:

Stone and Webster Engineering Nporation P. O. Box 2325 Boston, Massachusetts 02107 D.
Description of defect, deficiency, or failure to comply:
The design service water flow to each of the charging /high head safety injection pumps is 37 gpm for 95'F service water.
Tests now indicate that the maximum flow rate obtainable in the present system is well below this value due to higher than expected pres-sure drops across the skid cooling system.
