Dear Mr. Barth:
As I indicated in my earlier motion to set a hearing schedule, I am heavily involved in jury trials and also making arrangements for an expert witness. Therefore, my clients and I have not had an opportunity to respond fully to the proposed NRC Staff alternate site review for the Perkins project. We would point out that we consider the proposed alternative site review generally and specifically unacceptable. We will file a lengthy and detailed analysis of the shortcomings during the week of December 18, 1978, and we will ask for additional dis-covery f rom the applicant and also to obtain answers not given in previous discovery. We will also ask that this information be provided to us b3 Friday, January 12, 1979, in order that such- inf ormation can be used in the prefiled testimony for the hearings scheduled to begin on Monday, January 29, 1979.
