Dear Dr. Smith,
Enclosed is a Request for Action from Friends of the Earth, and joined by Congressmen John Burton and Ronald V. Dellums, California Assemblyman Tom Bates, Alameda County Planning Com-missioner Barbara Shockley, and twelve citizens.
Enclosed also are the appendices and exhibits to the Request, as well as letters from other joining parties.
Not included is further geological documentation by Mr. Glenn Barlow of Friends of the Earth.
Mr. Barlow's documentation is a significant contribution to the understanding of the tectonics of the vallecitos region.
