Dear Mr. Denton:
Enclosed herewith are five (5) copies of the Applicant's Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 2, dated May 29, 1981 which was prepared in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55, Appendix C," Licensee Safeguards Contengency Plans."
This Plan supercedes our submittal of August 8, 1979 (SNRC-417 )
and incorporates changes made to aidress NRC reviewer comments and concerns.
As the Safeguards Contingency Plan contains proprietary information, the Company requests, pursuant to 10 CPR 2.790 and 9.5, that the Plan be accorded proprietary status and not placed in the Public Document Room.
Please note that our attached receipt letter requests that you acknowledge receipt of the enclosed controlled documents.

NOVARRO, being duly sworn states that he is Project Manager of the Shoreham Project with Long Island Lighting Company; that he is authorized on the part of said Company to sign and file with the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission the foregoing Revision 2 to the Applicant's Safe-guards Contingency Plan, dated May 29, 1981 for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station Unit 1, Docket No. 50-322; Revision 2 was prepared under his supervision and direction; and that the statements contained therein are true and correct to the best of his knowledge, information and belief and applying to the NRC to have the Plan withheld from public disclosure.
Under 10 CFR @ 2.790 (d) the Plan contains " commercial or financial information" because it identifies detailed security measures for the physical protection of the Shoreham plant in which licensed special nuclear material will be possessed and used.
Therefore, the company requests, pursuant to 10 CFR d 2.790 (b) and 9.5 (a) (4) (i), that the Plan be withheld from public disclosure.
