Dear Mr. Reid:

Enclosed are three (3) original and forty (40) conformed copies of BTW-1598, Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 41, Cvele 2-Reload Xeoort dated January,1980 (revised by Toledo Edison on February 6, 1980).

This report transmits an application for amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 41 (DB-1) and justified the cycle 2 operation of the facility at its licensed core power level of 2772 MWT.

Section 8 of this reload report proposes modificatians in the DB-1 Technical Specifications, Appendix A.

These include changes in the Safety Limits, Limiting Saf ety System Settings, iiriting Conditions for Operation, Surveillance Requirements and the Technical Specification Bases.

This amendment request involves sevecal changes of Class Ill type and is therefore deternined to be a Class IV amendment. A check for $12,300.00, as required by 10CFR170.22, will be submitted separately.
