'Ihe unit was separated f rom th'e grid to

install a safety relief vaIve position indication system on all pr~1 mary reliet valves and for a scheduled pipe snubber inspection. The outage was extended due t.o: (1) A leak was discovered on a reactor recirc test connection bushing.
(2) Reactor vessel chemistry went out of specification when attempting to establish a condenser vacuum. This wat caused by chemistry carryover from the auxiliary boiler when establishing turbine steam seals.
The outage was necessary to install thi NRC required safety relief valves and w
to perform Technical Specification re-A quired snubber inspections. The leak-

Brunswick No. 2 Brunswick Unit No. 2 operated at a.67.7% capacity factor for the month of Janua ry. The following power changes and shutdowns occurred during the month:
January 1: Carryover outage from 79-025.
The unit was of f-line 106.4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> during this report period because of a Plant Modification to the safety relief valves.
January 7: The unit was shutdown for 51.9 hours1.041667e-4 days <br />0.0025 hours <br />1.488095e-5 weeks <br />3.4245e-6 months <br /> because of leakage on safety relief valve F013K.
Total " downtime" was 158.3 hours3.472222e-5 days <br />8.333333e-4 hours <br />4.960317e-6 weeks <br />1.1415e-6 months <br />, resulting in a 78.7% availability factor.
