Thank you for your letter of July 25, 1979 in response to our letter dated June 28, 1979. Your response to Deviation C of the Notice of Deviation transnitted as an enclosure to our letter of June 28, 1979 is unacceptable. We have conferred with NPR/QAB regarding this devi-ation and your response. The NRR/QAB position is that the commitments
=ade in Appendix A of BQ-TOP-1 take precedence over statements made in the text of your topical. NRR/QAB further stated that during their current review of BQ-TOP-1, Rev. 3, these seemingly ambigious statements in Section 17. of your topical vill be brought into agreement with your Appendix A, where;.n per=anent and nonpermanent records are both subject to ANSI N45.2.9 requirements with the only difference being in their period of retention.
Accordingly, with regard to Deviation C, please provide us a written statetent containing, (1) a description of steps that have been or will be taken to correct this item, (2) a description of steps that have been or vill be taken to prevent recurrence, and (3) the dates your corrective actions and preventive measures were er vill be completed.
Please provide the requested information within twenty (20) days in order that we may complete our review in a timely manner.
