Dear Mr. Vandenburgh:

By our letter of J6nuary 25,1978 the l'aine Yankee Atomic Power Company

(!!YAPC), and all other licensees operating a pressurized water reactor,

.were requested to submit detaMed schedules for evaluation of the over-all asymetric loss of coolant accident loads, as described in our January 25, 1978 letter. He further stated our intention of resolving this problem within two years of the date of that letter.

I am writing you this letter at the Comission's request to emphasize that the NRC considers the submittal of the requested evaluation of your plant regarding the asymetric load issue, by January 25, 1980, to be a firm requirenent on the part of MYAPC for the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station Sincerely, 04 !Qad ty h
