Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Glasscock of this office
on February 6 through 12, 1974 of activities authorized by AEC License
No. CPPR-40 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. McCabe
and Mr. Glasscock of this office with Mr. Arnold and other members of
your staf f .on Eebruary 21, 1974.
'
The areas examined during this inspection related to the Three Mile
Island 1 Quality Assurance Program for the Operations Phase. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selected exa.tinations of
procedures and interviews with personnel by the inspector.

During this inspection, it was found that certain detailed requirements
of Appendix B,10 CFR 50 have been omitted from the Quality Assurance
Program. These items, with reference to the pertinent requirements,
are identif'ied in the enclosed inspection report.
It is requested that the date for resubmission of the corrected program
be established and reported in writing to this office within ten (10)
,
days of your receipt of this letter.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or safety items were
observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice",
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the
AEC's Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information
that you (or your contractor) believe to be proprietary, it is
necessary that you make a written application within 20 days to
this office to withhold such information from public disclosure.
Any such application must include a full statement of the
reasons on the basis of which it is claimed that the information
