We have received and reviewed the thirteen applications for operator licenses for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1.

We find the applications to be in order with the following ex-espeion.

None of the applications contain information regarding operating experience at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station. We will require each individual to submit evidence that he has manipulated the controls of the reactor through two startups from a substantial sub-critical conditiou to the heating range and that he has partici-pated in control room operations until the station has achieved 20% power.

This information should be submitted prior to the administration of the e.xaminations.

The **==4netions have been assigned to Mr. E. L. Conner of this office. He will make the necessary arrangements for the administca-tion of the examinations.
