POSI OFFICE BOX 542 READING, PENNSYLVANIA 19603 TELEPHONE 215 - 929-3601 June 8,_1977 GQL 033h Mr. J. P. O'Reilly, Director Office of Inspection & Enforcement, Region I U. S. Nuclear Regulatory C - 4ssion 631 Park Avenue King of Prussia, PA 190h6
Dear Sir:
As a follow-up to your on-site inspection of Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit #1 on January 27, 1977, ycu requested a su nry of the results of the underground river water piping thrust block ~61evatiEn Tu?FefsIBelov'is the survey data results up to and including the May 27, 1977 survey. All elevations are listed in feet above sea level. The Dece=ber elevation was initially obtained by a survey of the top of the surveillance tube pipe threads.
In order to correct this survey to show the actual elevation of the thrust biccks, another survey was required.
This additional survey was taken to obtain the distances frem the top of the pipe threads to the point on the thrust blocks where the elevations are being made.
Once this su Arvvas cc=pleted and these distances cceputed, they were then subtracted frcm the original December survey to obtain the base line elevation of the thrust blocks.

,O As can be seen, results of this data show that these lines are still vell within our surveillance criteria to provide sufficient flexibility to meet all seismic class 1 requirements.
