OR RULEMAKING ON POPULATION. DENSITY AROUND REACTOR SITES (CONSENT CALENDAR ITEM)
The Commission has deferred action on SECY-78-624 and is returning it to the staff pending submissio.n of the Siting Policy Task Force Report on May 15, 1979.
The Task Force has informed the Commission that it is addressing the recommendations contained in the PIRG pet-ition.
The staff is directed to provide new recommendations (as appropriate) for Commission action on the PIRG petition no later than two weeks after. issuance of the Task Force's report.
The staff is also directed to inform the petitioners now of the interim status of the Commission's actions related to the disposition of the petition.
