This is to supplement our letter of November 15, 1978, i which we informed you that the NRC had not completed action on application XMAT0006 to Belgium for the export of deuterium.
In accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, we are providing this follow-up report on the status of this application.
The Department of State still has not received the required generic assurance from Belgium concerning retransfers.
Until this assurance is received, we are unable to issue a license for this export request.
