COOPER NUCLEAR STATION OPERATIONS NARRATIVE January 1980 The unit operated the month of January at a capacity factor of 83.3%.
An unscheduled power outage occurred on January 19, 1980 due to an erroneous main generator ground f ault indication causing the turbine to trip and the reactor to scram. The problem was corrected and the re-actor and the generator returned to normal powar operation.
Scheduled power reductions were made on January 6 and January 27 to allow ad-justment of the centrol rod pattern.
