Dear Roy:
I am writing to eliminate any confur' a you might have concerning the appropriate due date.ar the enclosed interrogatories.
The Third Set of Interroga-tories and Requests for Production of Documents from Houston Lighting & Power Company to NRC Staff was hand-delivered to you on December 18, 1979.
Accordingly, the five additional days in which to reply for service by mail is not applicable.
Answers to interrogatories are therefore due on January 2, 1980, and documents should be produced by January 17. 1980.
Houston requires your prompt response to the inter-rogatories so that it may conduct additional discovery, if needed, within the Board's rev:. sed discovery period.
However, if you feel the above schedule is impossible to satisfy, we will be happy to discass an appropriate period for an extension of time.
'31ncerely, G
