SUBJECT:
FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE FROM DSS FOR PSB TEAM 1 EVALUATIONS D. Notley, a fire protection engineer on detail to PSB, had been assigned to assist in resolving open items in fire protection evaluations on those plants assigned to H. George, PSB Team 1.
Recently, H. George advised me that some of his team's evaluations were falling behind schedule because Mr. Notley must devote a substantial part of his time over the next two months to preparing information related to the proposed rule.
From discussions between yourself, R. Ferguson, and H. George, we understand that G. Harrison will be made available to assist H. George as required over the next two months.
To avoid confusion, we will provide infonnation to G. Harrison on one or two plants at a time. A note from G. Harrison to H. George providing positions or basis for acceptance will provide sufficient response. We will obtain G. Harrison's concurrence on draft SER supplements on those plants where he assisted in the review.
Attached is a list of items on plants assigned to H. George where we believe G. Harrison's assistance will be required over the next two months.
