Docket Nos. 50-522 and 50-523 Gentlemen:

As suggested by the Board at the April 24 conference, Messrs. Black, Leed and Thomsen'have agreed on a croposed order of presentation (copy enclosed) for the July 17 evidentiary session.

Unless otherwise requested by the Board, the parties will make every effort to schedule their witnesses accordingly.

Reference is made to the prssentation of Applicants' evidence on geology / seismology, currently scheduled to begin on Monday July

30. Staf f counsel, Mr. Black, has advised that, due to the status of the review of this evidence by the Staff and USGS,he probably will not be in a position to cross-examine Applicants' witnesses on this subject during the July 17 session. In view of this, we are considering postponing Applicants' presentation until the subsequent evidentiary session at which the Staff /USGS evidence on geology /

seismology will be presented.

We hope to be able to advise the Board concerning this possible .

change by Suly 11. If this change is made, it is possible (although 7912 070 I511 351 A%ekwen+ 3

Valentine B. Deale, Chairman Gustave A. Linenberger Dr. Frank F. Hooper June 29, 1979 Page Two my estimates have often been too optimistic) that the July session can be concluded in two weeks, rather than the three weeks in-dicated on the order of presentation.

Very truly yours, PERKINS, COIE, STONE, OLSEN & WILLIAMS 0
