SUMMARY

Inspection on May 23-25, 1979 Areas Inspected This routine, unannounced inspection involved 18 inspector-hours onsite in the areas of licensee organization and administration, plant tour to observe operations and maintenance in progress, and preparation for refueling activities.

Results Of the three areas inspected, no apparent items of ncncompliance or deviations were identified.

  • Attended exit interview.

Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summar.ized on May 25, 1979 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I above. The licensee acknowledged the inspection findings.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) (IE Report 50-302/78-08) Adequacy of QA Records Storage (78-08-01)

The inspector verified that three hour rated fire doors had been installed on the temporary record storage vault which is used for record storage while micro-filming is in progres3.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during this inspection.

Organization and Administration The inspector reviewed the licensee's organizational structure to verify:

That changes in the organizational structure and assignmer.ts had been reported to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as required by the Technical Specifications.

That the organizational structure is as described in the Tech.ical Specifications.

2 That those persons assigned to new or different positions satisfy the qualifications identified in the Technical Specifications.

That authorities and responsibilities are as delineated in the Technical Specifications.

Plant Tour The inspector toured various areas of the plant to observe the following:

Plant cleanliness.

Operating and maintenance activities in the control room, auxiliary building, and the containment building.
