Crystal River d3 encored into an Opera:icnal :!cde while in tun (2) action staterents. This crested an event centrary :e Ie-hnical $recifiestien 3.0.4 and is repertable under Technical Specificati:n 6.9.1.9.b.
The plant entered into " ode 3 at 1155 on 16 August 1979 as a result ef a Reactor trip, and returned to Mode 2 ? 1309 on 16 Accus: 1979.
The ascension inte Mode 2 and subsequent power eccurred when the gas cheerst -
grap5 (Tech. Frec. 3.6.4.1) and air handling f ans Anf-148 and A37-14D (Tech. Spec. 3.7.E.1) were declared inoperable.
The hesith and safety of the plant and general public were not endaneered as a result of this event.
