This refers to the inspection conducted by Ms. G. M. Christoffer
and Ms. J.
C.
Scheffer of this office on April 4-6, 1979, of
activities at the Ford Nuclear Reactor authorized by NRC Operating
License No. R-28 and to the discussion of our findinFs with
Messrs. R.
Burn and G. Cook at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas
examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures
and representative records, observations, and interviews with
personnel.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified
during the course of this inspection. We note that corrective
action is in process to resolve the weakness relating to the
electronic card key system identified in paragraph five of the
enclosed inspection report. Please advise this office by letter
of the estimated completion date of your corrective actions.
