Dear Dr. Rossin:
This refers to your letter of February 1,1979, which provides comments and recommendations on the NRC Staff's draft response to the Jeannine Honicker petition. We plan to publisl. a final version of the Staff's response. Your comments, a s well as many others we have received, will be carefully considered in preparing the final version of our response.
Subsequent to the preparation of the NRC Staff's draft response,

Ms. Honicker filed with the Commission a second document entitled
" Comments of the Petitioner's Staff on the NRC Staff Response to Her Pdtition for Emergency and Remedial Action: An Older View Regarding Inalienable Rights" (January 5,1979). The NRC staff is now preparing comments on this document.
Accordingly, at the earliest it will be mid-April before a final staff report can be prepared for issuance.
