REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FILE: 0505 5 SERIAL: 6336 Your December 22, 1978 letter requested additional information necessary for review of the Midland Plant Environmental Report - Operating License Stage.

Regarding certain questions on endangered species, Consumers Power Company provides the following general information:

ENDAIDERED SPECIES, Question 1 Sylvia Taylor, Endangered Species Coordinator of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has informed Consumers that there are no records of threatened or endangered species on the Tittabawassee to Kenowa-Thetford transmission line right-of-way. The final draft of the consultants interim report (see item 2 below) notes the siting of a marsh hawk on the right-of-way but indicates that this is likely a migrating bird.

ENDAIDERED SPECIES, Question 2 Enclosed are six copies of IIEERIM REPORT, Terrestrial Ecological Survey -

Midland Nuclear Plant - Tittabawassee Substation - Gary Road Substation - 345 kV Transmission ROW, prepared for Consumers Power Company, by Asplundh Environmentra Services and S&R Environmental Consulting, November 15, 1978.

The Midland Environ:mntal Report (OLS) will be revised in January 1979 to reflect the above information.
