Dear Mr. Cavanaugh:
By letter dated November 23, 1979, you submitted a design description of the cable spreading room wi2ter spray system for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No. 2 which was listed as' Item 3.6 in the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit
o. 2 Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG 0223). We have reviewed these descriptions and find that the proposed design for the water spray system will provide the protection we intended in our Fire Protection SER for ANO-2 (NUREG 0223) and is, therefore, acceptable.
Item 3.6 also requires the submittal for our review of the design description of the fire barrier to be provided in one location where cables from redundant safety divisions are in proximity to each other. This has not been provided.
We request such descriptions be submitted for our review by March 1,1980.
