CORRECTION (January 17, 1980)

On January 17, 1980, the NRC Staff requested that we correct the wording of a technical specification which the Board imposed in its January 10, 1980 Initial Decision in this proceeding (LBP-80-2).

The Staff claims that, as worded, Technical Specifi-cation 2.12.3 (Initial Decision, p. 17) would prohibit storage of anything except fuel in the spent fuel pool.

If so, that clearly was not our intent.

We meant to pre-clude storage of any fuel except that with stdinless steel cladding but did not mean to bar storage of other items such as control rods or casks.

For that reason, we grant the Staff's request.1!

Technical Specification 2.12.3 sh'all be corrected 1/

Since the correction represents a non-substantive modification, we did not await responses from other parties before acting on the Staff's request.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
