Docket No. 50-285

Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

The Omaha Public Power District received IE Bulletin 79-24, dated September 27, 1979, requesting that a review of the Fort Calhoun Station be conducted to determine that adequate protective measures have been taken to assure that safety-related process, instrument, and sampling lines do not freeze during extremely cold weather. In response, the District has conducted the required review and found that all of these lines are located either in heated buildings or buried in the ground well below the frost line. As such, freezing of lines associated with safety systems is not expected.

Sincerely,

C 0 l ^')L &
