GENERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE REC 0i' met 10ATIONS 1.
Section 26 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, provided in part:
"There shall be a General Advisory Committee to advise the Conmission on scientific and technical matters relating to materials, production, and research and development..."
2.
This Committee was abolished by the Department of Energy organizational act.
(Public Law 95-91, 91 Stat. 608, 1977).
3.
I have been successful in acquiring unclassified excerpts from at least some of that Committee's recommendations regarding nuclear safety, " reactor captains," and possible management inadequacies. They are enclosed for your information.
