NOVEMBER 3 0 '.373 Docket No. 50-266 Mr. Sol Burstein Executive Vice President Wisconsin Electric Pcwer Company 231 West Michigan Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53201

Dear Mr. Burstein:

Enclosed is a signed original Confimatorj Order dated November 30, 1979, issued by the Ccmission for o int Beach Nuclear olant Unit No.1.

The o

Order amends Facility Operating License No. DPR-24 by incorporating and confirping those ccamitments made by Wisconsin Electric Pcwer Company in its letter of November 29, 1979, as supplemented Novemoer 30, 1979.

These items involve increased steam generator tests and inspections, more restrictive steam generator leakage limits, and modified limits and sur/eillance requirements for reactor coolant radicactivity.

With these additional limits, we have concluded that there is rr sonable assurance that the public health and safety will not be endangered by the continued operation of Point Beach Unit No.1.

The basis for this conclusion is contained in cur Safety Evaluation Report which is appended to the Order.

A cooy of the Order is being filed with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

Si ncerely,

hfM A. Schwencer, Chief Operating Reactors Branch #1 Division of Operating Reactors
