Dear Sir:
Subsequent to the submittal of supplementary information in our letter dated December 7, 1979 concerning implementation of the TMI Short-Term Actions, we have conducted a detailed and expeditious reevaluation of the remaining one open item which requires modification of the control circuits for 23 Containment isolation valves.
It was concluded, based on the reevaluation and the extreme importance for expeditious completion, that the modifications could be done using materials currently available onsite rather than waiting for new equipment delivery. Portland General Electric Company hereby informs you that the Containment isolation modi-fications will be implemented by January 1,1980.
The detailed informa-tion regarding this modification will be provided in our January 1, 1980 letter.
Sincerely,
./
