Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
This is in response to your letter of November 9,1979, requesting in-formation concerning the new fuel cladding strain and fuel assembly flow blockage models, and compliance with 10 CFR 50.46.
Additional information on the same subject, supplied in your letter of Novem-ber 27, 1979, has been included in preparation of this reply.
Florida Power Corporation has reviewed all of the subject inf o rma tion supplied in our behalf by Babcock & Wilcox.
We are in agreement with the results presented b.
B&W in that calculated peak fuel clad temper-ature will remain unchanged or lowered through the use of the new NRC ramp rate correlation, and that compliance with 10 CFR 50.46 is demon-strated regarding Crystal River Unit No. 3.
