REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING EMERGENCY PLANS FOR LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS N0. 1 AND NO. 2 As a result of our October 15 to 18,1979 Emergency Plan meeting with your representatives and representatives from the State of Illinois and LaSalle County, we need additional information in the area of emergency planning.

In addition, we find that your Generating Station Emergency Plans (GSEP) should be updated to meet the currently applicable requirements. The specific information required is listed in the Enclosure.

You should submit your revised emergency plans incorporating the items in the Enclosure within five (5) weeks of receipt of this letter.

Please contact us if you desire any discussions or clarification of the information requested.

The scope of such an exercise shorid test as much of tre emergt..cy ;.ans as is reasonably achievable without involving full puDlic part.ip2ti n.

Definitive performance criteria should be established for all levels of participation to assure an objective evaluation.

Inis joint test exercise will be scheduled about once every 5 years.

The example initiating conditions for each class should be supp;e-enteJ, where possible, by the specific plant instrumentation readings snich will initiate the emergency class.

The diagram should also icentify the types of communication au ils-le between the various organizations and emergency operating centers.
