Docket No. 50-285

Dear Mr. Ga= mill:

The Omaha Public Power District received your letter of October 2, 1979, outlining a basic radiation safety course to be provided for certain NRC staff members. The District is villing to accept ORAU certification in lieu of our own basic radiation safety course, for the purpose of admitting NRC staff members to Fort Calhoun Station radiation control areas. How-ever, additional site specific training, conducted at the Fort Calhoun Station, would be required to augment ORAU training covering topics such as dosimetry assignments, mask fit, security training, and plant procedures. This additional training would be expected to take approximately eight hours to complete.

Sincerely,

/
