This office has received a copy of your letter dated August 17, 1979, which transmitted your Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Unit Mos. 1 and 2 security personnel training and qualification plan to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (OiiRR) for review and approval as required by 10 CFR Part 73 of the Commission's regulations.
The submittal was not accompanied by approval or amendment fees as required by Section 170.22 of 10 CFR 170.
Requests for approvals and/or license amendments such as identified above should be classi-fied in the manner set forth in Section 17C.22 of 10 CFR 170.
Section 170.12(c) requires that your company provide a proposed determination of the amendment (approval) class, state tha basis therefor, and remit the fee corresponding to this determination with the application for approval or amendment.
Based on guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your plan, it has been determined that the plan involves consideration of a single safeguards issue requiring a Class III fee of $4,000 for Hatch Unit 1 and Class I fee of 5400 for Hatch Unit 2.
It is requested that the sum of
$4,400 be forwarded to this office.
Fees are payable to the U.S. Nuclear Regu-latory Commission by check, draft, or money order.
If the final review of your plan by the ONRR staff reveals that these fees are incorrect, you will be refunded any overpayment or billed for any additional amount due.
