Enclosed pursuant to our agreement on informal discovery are a number of documents relevant to the Board's intergranular stress corrosion cracking question:
1.
Documents AQ1323 through AQ1344 are the stainless steel vent Jr certifications for the new racks referred to in Staehle's affidavit.
Don't confuse them with Documents AQ1091 through AQ 1196, previously provided, which include similar certifications relating to the old racks, which have higher carbon content.
2.
Documert AQ1322 is the 100 page GE report referred to in Staehle's affidavit, and from which.h.is. Exhibit 1,is taken.. _ -..
3.
Documents AQ1199 through AQ1298 are the file of Leon Rafner of Commonwealth Edison's Station

Document AQ1299 is a sheet prepared by Leon Rafner which identifies the corresponding nine micrographs, also provided, which were taken of the new spent fuel rack materials in connection with Clarke's EPR test.
I am informed by Staehle and Clarke that you can't tell by looking at these micrographs whether the material is sensitized.
Instead they are used to calculate the average grain boundary area (GBA),
which is one of the parameters in Clarke's test.

I also enclose two Polaroid photographs, AQ1197 and AQ1198, taken by Clarke which show the same thing as the micrographs.
The difference is that these photographs are not taken directly of the surface of the stainless steel but of a " replicate" which is essentially a plastic impression of the surface of the ctainless steel.
The advantage is these replicate images can be developed right away in the field (i.e. at Leckenby), unlike micrographs.
6.
Lukens took photographs of the old rack when'he was doing the dye-penetrant test.
There is only one set, which Staehle has.
