We have received a copy of your August 14, 1979 (LAC-6460) application for license amendment which you filed with the Office of Nuci'ar Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for review and approval.
The application proposed radiological effluent Technical Specifications for the La Crosse Soiling Water Reactor (License No. DPR-45) as required by Appendix I of 10 CFR Part 50. The application was not accompanied by a fee pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22.
Based on the July 11, 1978 letter from Brian K. Grimes (Division of Operating Reactors) to all Power Reactor Licensees and on subsequent guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your application, it has been detert:ined that the application involves consideration of a single safety issue which requires a Class III emend-ment fee of $4,000.
It is requested that the 54,000 be forwarded to this office.
If the final evaluation of your application by the ONRR staff reveals that this fee is incorrect, you will be refunded any overpayment or billed for any additional amount due.
