P2QC:ST PICEIVED ET E"3: July 20, 1976 REVIEN STATUS: Environnontal Evaluation 3 ranch - Complete The Environmental Evaluation Branch has reviewed Metropolitan Edison's proposed Technical Specification Change Nos. 33.2 and 33.3 relating to the determination of anomalous measurerents of enyttounental radiological levels and associated reporting requirenents. These changes do not alter the effectiveness of the program nor do they result in any change from the standpoint of radiological i= pact. These changes have been discusced with the CRPM, W. Ross, the F 1gion I inspector, R. Bores, and Metropolitan Edison (J. Moran and M. Burin ).

The radiological environ = ental monitoring a

progem was diecussed and sampling procedures were observed with R. 3crer and M. Buring during a site visit to Three Mile Island, Unit 1 on June 29 and 30, 19'6.

As a result of these discussions, the original Technical Specification Change lios.33.2 as subnitted by Metropolitan Edicen has hecn revised to retain the present Technical Specification requirement that individual milk sanples with I-131 concentrations of 10 picoeuries/ liter or greater be reported.

An envirotnental inpact appraisal to support an a.endment to the '"hree Mile Island Technical Specifications is enclosed. This reviev was performed ' :-
