packaging operation as required to restrict access of personnel into areas which may be sub, lect to high radiation levels.
i Contrary to the above,.on April 15, 1977, a high radiation area around I
a solidified vaste container located in the Auxiliary Building, an aree. accessible to personnel, was not posted as a high radiation area.

this container and the area had not been posted to restrict access of personnel into the area.
Response to Apparent Violation The corrective step which has been taken was to i==ediately post the area as a high radiation area. Surveys were made to assure no other areas were in nonec=pliance with this proced ze.
Since the inspection, this area has been properly posted per the procedure.

At TMI, the HP Foreman is assigned the responsibility to insure opera-tions are conducted and surveys are performed in accordance with OP 110h-28.
1 To insure there vill be no further ite=s of noncompliance, the specific foreman involved in the above occurrence was instructed and counseled regarding his authority and 12spensibility to insure radiation levels are accurately =easured and radiation caution sighs are appropriately posted in applicable areas.
