SUBJECT:
C 8ecause of feedwater system cracks found previously in Unit No. 1 (PNO-79-189),

The radiographs of C steam generator feedwater reducer-to-nozzle weld did not indicate cracks but did indicate slag, porosity and incomplete fusion rejectable under the current code.
The radiographs of C steam generator feedwater reducer-to pipe weld indicated a crack in the weld root ext.ending over 60 degrees of the circumference.
Unit No. 2 is presently shut down undergoing steam generator replacement.
