RELEASE OF INCORRECT RADI0 ACTIVE WASTE GAS TANK A radioactive waste gas holdup tank was erroneously released to the environment through the plant vent on September 5, 1979.
Tank 268-C had been sampled and approved for release.
Tank.268-8 was mistakenly lined up for release.
release was terminated after about 35 minutes due to the alarming of a monitor The on the release path.
