SHUTDOWN EXCEEDING TWO DAYS a leaking drain valve on the secondary side of No. 2 steam made temporary repairs and reduced the valve leak-through significantly.
The licensee was returned to operation at 5:00 a.m. on September The unit 10, 1979.
The NRC resident inspector was in contact with the licensee through-out the weekend following progress of the outage.
The licensee made a press release and there has been coverage of the shut-dow local radio and television.
The State of Ohio is being notified.The Region does not plan to make a press release.
This information was obtained from the resident inspector on September 7 and 10 1979, and is current as of 9:00 a.m. on September 10, 1979.
