COMPARIS0fl 0F RISKS FROM THE ACCIDEflTAL RELEASES OF RADI0 ACTIVITY TO THE filVIR0fii4EflT FOR FLOATING Afl0 LAtlD-BASED NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS Pursuant to the flational Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the United States fluclear Regulatory Comission's regulations in Appendix M of 10 CFR Part 50 and 10 CFR Part 51, notice is hereby given that a Final Environmental State (FES), Part III providing a comparison of overall risk from accidental releases of radioactivity to the environment for floating and land-based plants has been prepared by the Commission's Office of fluclear Reactor Regulation.
The FES also presents an integrated cost-benefit analysis for the floating nuclear plant concept and reflects on a cumulative basis, the elements of review in Parts I, II, and III.
This Statement (NUREG-0502) is Part III of the environmental review related to the issuance of a manufacturing license to Offshore Power Systems.
NUREC-0502 is available for inspection by the public in the Commission's Public Document Room at 1717 H Street, N.
