SEQUOYAlj NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 PLANT CONFIGURATION DIFFERENT ThAN DRAWINGS OF RECORD NCR 2P FIRST INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency Drawings of record are design drawings which have been certified as showing the actual system configuration at the time Construction transfers responsibility for the system to Power Production.
These drawings consequently show what equipment has been installed and tested by Construction.
The nonconformance describes an error in the TVA drawing certification process where a modification to a portion of the Residual Heat Removal System had been completed before certification of the preoperational drawings of record for that system.
However, this modification was inadvertently omitted from the drawing that was certified "as constructed."
Although this deficiency references only the RHR system, it is an example of a problem which may affect other systems.
It may permit Construction to install or modify equipment on other systems without Power Production being aware of the situation during preoperational testing of the system.
Corrective Action To correct the specific deficiency on the RHR system, the affected drawings have been changed to reflect the actual configuration.
TVA is investigating a means to prevent future occurrences and to ensure all drawings which are certified "as constructed" do indeed reflect the actual plant configuration, qv' } '
