10 CFR 50.55(e) Final Report on Design Deficiency of Pipe Hangers On October 2, 1979, Mr. T. A. Alessi of the Detroit Edison Quality Assurance Department, telephoned Mr. Frank Jablonski of NRC Region III, to report a 10 CFR 50.55(e) deficiency item dealing with design deficiency in the pipe support area.
Detroit Edison has investigated this problem and the attached technical report (EF2-50,5s0 of October 23, 1979, " Report of Engineering's Evaluation of an Identified Design Deficiency in QA Level 1 Pipe Support STRUTS" - written by Mr. J. H. Casiglia, approved by W. F. Colbert, EF2 Project Engineer) is submitted to inform you of the corrective action being taken.
