Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 IE Bulletin No. 79-08 During a recent telephone conversation between Mr. Briggs of your staff and I, it was agreed that an update on JCP&L's plans to complete the commitment in response to IE Bulletin No. 79-08 be provided.

The scope of this project is best described by the utilization of, pages 1 and 2.

The sequence of activities involved to complete this project on a system-by-system basis is presented.

The length of time necessary to complete e cn action varies with each system due to the com-plexities of the system ead the status of the available documents used to support the endeavor., page 1, serves as a convenient checkoff for those items denoted on Attachment 1.

A sign off is completed for each system which is reviewed.

The present status of the task can best be expressed by Attachment 3,

" Status Report".

The report defines the systems to be reviewed, the steps necessary to complete each system, the steps that have been completed (as signified by the dot in each box), and the personnel assigned to each system.

We estimate we have accomplish 3d one-third of the total work effort to date.
