1979, the applicant submitted a design change notification, DCN-550-347, which changes the moisture control requirements in the core of the west auxiliary dam. Whereas the specifications previously required all moisture contents to be within - 2% to +2% of optimum moisture content, the DCN requires the moisture content to be within
.1% to +3% of optimum moisture content at elevations above 225 ft.
We have reviewed this submittal by the applicant and we approve this change. This review was made by Dr. Owen Thompson, Geotecnical Engineering Section, GB, DSS.
