We have evaluated your revised Shipping Container Quality Assurance Program Manual submitted with your July 31, 1979 letter to satisfy the requirements of 10 CFR 571.51.
Our review indicates that additional information is required to satisfy the applicable requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 71. Please address the enclosed request for additional information and submit seven copies of the revised program within 30 days following receipt of this letter.

Section No. 2, page 2 - In subsection 2.2.2, identify the management level above or outside the QA organization that conducts the periodic assessment of the QA Program.
2.
Clarify who resolves disputes involving quality in the areas of procurement, fabrication, testing, etc., arising from a difference of opinion between QA/QC personnel and other department personnel.
3.
In Section No. 4, verify that procurement documents identify those records to be retained, controlled, and maintained by the supplier.
