RESPONSE TO CONFIRMATORY ORDER EA-16-016 - INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT REVIEW
Dear Mr. Peters:
This acknowledges receipt of your letter dated August 14, 2019, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession No. ML19233A281) in response to the August 14, 2016, Confirmatory Order (CO). In your letter, the results of Action 9, of the CO, were provided. Action 9, states, in part that, following the initial audit, the audits will continue on an annual basis. Within 30 calendar days of the receipt of the annual audit report, AREVA will share the consultant's written assessment. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has reviewed the second audit and concludes that audit meets the requirements of the CO.
In accordance with the Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS, which is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
