Dear Mr. Engelken:
In accordance with the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e), your staff was informed by telephone on November 2,1979 of a reportable condition involving the omission of vertical reinforcing steel in the shear wall separating the WNP-3 Fuel Handling Building and the Reactor Auxiliary Building. Attached is our report concerning this deficiency.
It is our intention to begin drilling holes to implement this solution and to issue a second report to you following the pull test on the dowels.
