H. C. Dance on August 9, 1979, ir .:cordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e).

An interim report was submitted v. September 4, 1979. We expect to submit our next report by December 10, 1979.

Westinghouse and TVA are evaluating the accelerated heating and cooling of small local regions of the loop 2 hot leg and the pres-surizar. Westinghouse has concluded that safe operation of unit 1 during startup will not be jeopardized.
